Introduction & safety
Arrive 15 minutes before the start for a briefing on safety and rules. Safety is always our top priority.

Coaching & practice
Your Axe Coach goes through the basics and shows you how to throw. Then the group practises getting the axe to stick in the target.

Rules & tournament
The coach introduces the rules and scoring. You run a group tournament and crown the winner.

Book & pay the deposit
Book in good time to secure your slot. Pay the deposit online - the rest on site. Reschedule free of charge up to 72 hours before; the deposit is binding.

Frequently asked questions
A session is about 60 minutes of throwing time. Expect to be on site for around 1-1.5 hours in total - you arrive 15 minutes before the start for the safety briefing, then practice and a closing tournament. If you want to throw longer you can book two hours (each hour is booked separately in the booking system).
No, no prior experience is required. Our Axe Coach guides you from the ground up - how to hold the axe, throwing technique and safety rules. Axe throwing at Mad Axe suits both beginners and seasoned throwers.
From age 18 you may throw on your own and sign our liability waiver yourself. Younger participants are welcome accompanied by a guardian who is present throughout the activity and signs on their behalf. See our booking terms.
Closed-toe shoes are mandatory - sandals and open shoes are not allowed. Wear comfortable clothes that allow free movement.
You book online and pay a deposit of 350 SEK for the whole group. The remaining amount is paid on site by card or Swish. Read more in our booking terms.
The deposit (350 SEK for the whole group) is binding and non-refundable in case of cancellation, no-show or changes made less than 72 hours before the start. If Mad Axe has to cancel your session, the full deposit is refunded. Full booking terms.
Yes, free rescheduling is possible as long as you contact us more than 72 hours before your booked time - the deposit then moves to the new time. Contact stockholm@madaxe.se and we'll help you.
We welcome groups from 2 to 30 people per session - Mad Axe has 4 separate throwing lanes so large parties can throw at the same time. More than 30 people? Get in touch and we'll arrange special setups for companies and events for up to 70 people.

Yes, safety is our highest priority. Every session begins with a mandatory safety briefing. You always throw in separate, enclosed lanes and no one is on the range during throwing.
